The most enjoyable part of my teenage years was spent at RAF Shinfield Park, it was my first posting and I loved the beautiful setting.

I foolishly thought all RAF stations were like that and it was a shock when I went to RAF Wyton as my next posting. I married Michael whilst I was there so my WRAF career only lasted 2 years. We then went to Germany for 3 years.

On coming back to the UK, we were sent to RAF Brampton but Michael decided to buy himself out from there, and we've lived in Evesham (his home town) since then.

I've enjoyed revisiting Shinfield Park and meeting old friends but was very upset to find all the trees gone and a housing estate there. Now I enjoy the reunions and keep looking for more people that I knew then.
